Cycling trails and many downhill and freeride routes invite you to discover the beauty of the Kitzbühel Alps. At the Saalbach-Hinterglemm Bike Circus, there is plenty to experience for MTB fans.

The famous mountain-bike trails are among the most beautiful in the region, and the freeride slopes are some of the best tips out there for fit and experienced mountain bikers. For those who like to “collect” metres of altitude climbed, the Bike Circus organises the “Big-5 Bike Challenge” – with prizes for the best participants.

The Heimathaus and skiing museum in Saalbach

Distance: about 145 m (at the end of our car park)

From a poor farming village in the mountains to an ultra-modern ski resort! On a guided tour of the Heimathaus, you will learn about the rise of the region and its unforgettable traditions.

The Mountain Crystals Museum in Saalbach

Distance: approximately 1 km

A gemstone experience for the whole family. The largest private collection of gemstones, including exhibits that are unique worldwide. You’ll find more than a thousand gems to marvel at.

The Historic Vehicle Museum in Kaprun

Distance: approximately 25 km

A collection of vehicles from the 1950s and 1970s with more than 150 exhibits at 1,000 m2.

The city of Salzburg and the Hohensalzburg Fortress

Take a scenic drive along Europe’s most famous panoramic mountain road. You can stop, refresh yourself and enjoy the breathtaking views at the mountain saddle with a car park at an altitude of 2,571 metres.

Krimml Water World and Krimml Waterfalls

Distance: approximately 70 km

A visit to Krimml will be appreciated by visitors young and old. Come by car or take the local narrow-gauge railway. Where the Großvenediger and Dreiherrenspitze glaciers converge, they create the Krimmler Ache, a river that flows through the idyllic Krimmler Achental before it plunges into Pinzgau in the highest waterfall system in Europe (380 metres).

The Kaprun alpine reservoirs

Distance: approximately 30 km

At an altitude of 2,400 metres, you can see how clean and sustainable water energy becomes electricity. Enjoy beautiful roads to the Fürther Moaralm and the spectacular view of the mountains around Glockner in Hohe Tauern National Park.

Salzburg Salt Mine / Bad Dürrnberg

Distance: approximately 105 km

Dive into the deepest of tunnels in a mine train, enjoy a raft ride on the salt lake and experience a journey back in time to Salzburg’s roots.

All our rooms are equipped with comfortable and practical Alpine-style furniture, and each one includes a private bathroom with a shower and a toilet. For your comfort, you’ll find soft towels, a hair dryer and comfortable bed linen for a great night’s sleep. You can check the current weather in the mountains and a live feed from the summit cameras at any time on your LCD TV, which will come in handy before you go on a hike or onto the slopes.

Nearly every one of our rooms has its own balcony furnished with seating and cushions. Most of them offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain peaks. These include the Zwӧlferkogel (1,983 m above sea level) which will be the site of the 2025 Alpine World Ski Championships. We can also prepare cots, extra beds and high chairs for children for you if needed. Electric kettles are available on request as well. Free internet access is available throughout the hotel via our internal Wi-Fi.
